Side note, it's ridiculous how expensive a clean, comfortable bed is these days. Sadly, even with the insane prices, getting clean and comfortable is only 50/50 odds, and the chain name means nothing.

Copy that
I’ve been reading lots of reviews on places before I commit to them. A lot of places got bugs of several varieties.
I’m not gonna put a bunk back on for these rare occasions. But I can see the appeal to knowing its clean no matter where I pull over.LTL Bull, beastr123, exhausted379 and 11 others Thank this. -
Texas bound

I used to dismiss bad reviews, but now I concentrate on them. At least with Hampton, you stand a better chance. Not that I travel often, but I usually just need a late check in, early check out and really it makes dropping $3-400 for a sure thing hard to do. Instead I find myself spending closer to $200 for a compromise that ends up being worth $40.Kawinige01, LTL Bull, beastr123 and 10 others Thank this.

What are the specs on that trailer?
I kinda dig the look of the closed tandem all the way at the back, and the red badges and stripes. -
Well, quite a few years since I ordered it. I got the whole order sheet in my desk, so I’d have to look when i get home
48/102, tall rubber, I want to say it’s got like a 10 or 11 foot worth of slide, front axle lift, Two exterior cam locks, thicker rub rail, Red ICC, red landing gear, red axles, Red Mac insignia, I don’t remember what I ordered the beam at. It’s not the lightweight beam. Got at least 1 coil package.
Can’t really remember what else- surprise surprise lol
Ought to have gotten tire inflation especially as much as it sits.CAXPT, exhausted379, REO6205 and 8 others Thank this. -
How do you get around in the city with the axles all the way to the rear ? I pull 48’s here but we have the 40’ bridge law. I even go as far as sucking in more ahead of time before getting in the city. I agree though, great set up.

10-4. Very nice.

Well, it does slide; I just don’t tend to ride around with it slid forward unless I’m in a position that I need to be doing some tight work.
Funnily enough most of the tight maneuvers are places outside of urban areas in my experienceCAXPT, exhausted379, cke and 8 others Thank this. -
Also you introduce a new problem in doing so, tail swing, that evil monster that allows you to take the side out of the vehicle next to you when turning right at the traffic lights.

I have never encountered sliding tandems in Europe, with our shorter lengths and tri-axles they are simply not needed for weight distribution, but if I had them I would keep them well to the rear at all times.
