Tail swing can be an evil monster! Can’t even tell you how many 100+ foot loads I’ve done on 80’ trailers. 20+ foot of tall swing is no joke. I always liked to have a good tail car who could warn me BEFORE I got in trouble. Had a few different guys I preferred that were retired truck drivers. (@CAXPT )
There was 2 of us once with 100’ loads over in Warwick RI. Had to park them in a lot. I made the left turn into the lot no problem. Guy behind me turns in and takes the light pole down that was on his right…

Wait till full retirement comes, then it will be a holiday all the time. I do miss the road, but I'm content with what I've got, made easier by my last job here, hauling a frigo, noisy buggers I don't miss that.

 

BTW just got this message. Do you think I should tell her how old I am and how many thousands of kms and a complete bloody ocean she will have to cope with to bring me a demo?
