Brownsville, which I think is better. We will see if I have to spend the weekend. Tonight I am at the holiday inn doing laundry and eating a steak at a tony Roma's, who knew they were even still in business.

I wish I had taken more pictures to show you guys. Basically I packed them all together then threw chains where I thought they should be then after I got those tight I tried to wiggle the stacks and if I could I would throw a chain until I couldn't wiggle any of them.

I am pretty sure both of them have been "aggressive" with rates over the last year because the wanted to be sure they had enough work. Now that don't have the trucks to move everything and can't broker at the rates they quoted.

In regards to ATS & trailers...a year or two ago when Molinaro died and they bought the rest of Warren, ATS came in and told them they wanted them to spend some big number (I believe it was $10 million) on new trailers. Warren has never been known for being short on trailers to begin with.

I couldn't count how many trailers Warren has sitting at there yard in Waterloo! I drove past that place countless times and the trailers were always in an abundance! Vans, steps and 2 axle RGNs. Also a the Deere down in Ottumwa, holy trailers Warren! ATS was not much better at that plant either!

A whole bunch of the trailers sitting in St Cloud are the type that haul the windmill bases. I can only imagine what they must cost.

I ran I80 from Lincoln to Des Moines 4 times this week. ATS was out in force hauling blades.

Now where can they be stuck? Red clay maybe?

    Sleepy68 Thanks this.

When I was still with them, they had a bunch of new step decks parked in the west yard.
They had certain dates to retire a certain amount of trls. So they pre bought. They would replace them in sets of 5 was how it was explained to some guys griping about not being able to grab a step and had to take a flat instead
They also have more new tower trls. coming in this year as well, I was told.
CPape, word is they are building Warren a new yard there in Waterloo I guess where the old dog track used to be..
They got money to buy more trls., but still don't want to settle with me.....
