I deliver to HD too and can confirm they usually suck, however next time you come to a closed gate just get out and open it. I’ve never had them say anything about it. Idk why they shut them.

They do that to keep the undesirables out.

That was my experience with them, too. They don't let you leave the DC in Wisconsin until they've maxed you out. I was sent there just for some I-Beams that were supposed to go to a retail location for an expansion they were going to do. Expected weight confirmed that, but they had other plans. Ended up I would be running out of hours and I told them either you get me out now, or I'll unload this truck with one move. Couldn't understand my attitude, but also told me I'm not allowed to park on property if I ran out of hours. That was the deciding moment I decided I didn't need his load, even as a company driver. They are definitely on my no f'n way list, too...even as a company driver, if it ever comes up again. The retail place even agreed with me when I delivered that they were idiots up there.

I had a delivery in san diego area one time yell at me because I went the correct way thru the back but they had a gate blocking the entrance, asked him to move out of the way so I could get thru. And he told me I was on the wrong side.
Hey bro I drive trucks for a living, I'm not on the wrong side, ur just in the way... some of these blowhards out here think we're all dumb monkeys or something... that's fine I make more money than him in 1 week than he does in a month.. some ppl just need a good ol fashion ### whoopin

The we can get more on you thing is why I won't mess with them, already strapped down and partially tarped but I could load another 4000 lbs on and they want to redo everything, I was like f no, start that #### I shake this crap off

Trim board back to AZ . Since my company likes to order 20ft long tarps, I had to throw 3 of them because I was 3 inches to short on the overlap with my 2 flap tarps

Yup. Big hardware store. Not as big as HD or Lowe’s, much cleaner and better organized.

Never had a problem hauling in to any of the stores or DC’s. In and out in less than an hour.

Being able to drive into the backyard at Menards and load directly from the stack of material into the truck instead of handling stuff twice like Lowes or HD is so much better. They have higher quality lumber too in my opinion. HD lumber is great if you don't like building square things.
