When I was doing tree work we’d go work in yards of these super nice houses to make their view better. Multi million dollar places they would have for a vacation house for a few weeks out of the year. Just crazy to imagine a lifestyle like that. Most of them were from Massachusetts.

Stop being cheap and just by the 100' so you don't have that problem.
(I don't know if they make auto retract 100', but I have a 100' manual reel.)

Where do you have it mounted?
What I should do is put an air chuck on my trailer also. Then my hose would be long enough.
