Well, we could argue, but recheck his photos, especially showing all 4 containers in the front. I'd estimate, that sans the actual cargo inside, just the wood in those 4 crates would come awful close to 1100 lbs, but then add the cargo, and remember that that first item, is actually acting as the bulkhead, use the 2 straps to secure that load so everything behind can run into it, and at least my philosophy has always been, 2 straps in the front, regardless how long it is, just for the added header securement factor. Back to the photo and I'd say with the cargo in those 4 crates and that he feels that 5400 lbs WLL should be sufficient for the weight before he added the second strap and I'd venture the freight is closer to 2,500 lbs making it require 2 straps to secure it.
Of course, this is just for argument's sake. Unless he provided us with more information on the actual weight of each crate, we can't possibly make a definitively educated guess...which is why we spitball with what we know, and I know that much wood in crates comes awful close to why I'd put 2 straps on regardless.

Was well worth it, gonna take the stuff off of the outer firewall this year to repaint the cab and at the same time taking the dash apart for some interior projects and add sound deadening to the inside of the firewall where it should be. My truck is actually pretty quiet now unless the windows are open then you can hear her.Gatordude, CAXPT, broke down plumber and 4 others Thank this. -
Started with XXX Rattletrap sound deadening pads (eliminates panel resonance) then the side walls (and eventually floor) get a layer of secondskinaudio Luxury Liner covered with a 1” layer of secondskinaudio MegaZorbe Pro. The roof will get only a 1” layer of MegaZorbe Pro as the Luxury Liner is too heavy to run in an overhead application.
I hope to eventually put Luxury Liner on the inside of the firewall, but that part of the project will be a bit yet.Gatordude, CAXPT, broke down plumber and 6 others Thank this. -
Yeah the inside of the firewall is the biggest pia, I did the outside as a stop gap measure. I am putting open cell foam on the outside of the floor on both sleeper and cab, might be able to get to that this summer yet, my buddy did that on his and it's amazing how quiet his truck is after that. I have a buddy that opencell foamed everything and that thing is whisper quiet until you open the windows. Was gonna do that to mine and still might someday if I can #### down long enough to pull cab and sleeper off the frame and take everything out of them including wiring, doubt I will get that time though so it is a pipe dream at this point
