    Is it possible to secure any chain load that way? It would be handy in situations to use my chain straps the exact same way, tightening into a winch on loads where there no room for a normal binder.

    It ain't horrible just can be a pain in the ### sometimes, nice to load these in 80 degrees rather than 115 for once

    Yes you can . They can be quite handy on structural, or I use them when running cross chains on steel decking loads, really good for building choker chains on rebar. quicker and easier then binders and get way way tighter
