LOL, sometimes it's good for us to stoop down to the bottom once in awhile, just to remind ourselves how much better we actually have it.

You've stirred my memory so hang on. I got stuck out in Phoenix, and there was nothing moving anywhere except for a load of crushed cars that stuck way up in the air. They weren't compacted like they are now. Basic rates then were $1.50 and we made bank on that. The cars were paying a $1.00 and the broker I talked to thought I should get on my knees and thank him for not jizzin in my mouth. I declined his offer and bounced to El Paso to pick up a humvee going all the way to SC. It paid a little better, but not by much, but because I was light and fuel was cheaper going across, I actually got a decent check. As to the rebar, I hauled that s hit one time and only one time, but it got me within 10 miles of the house. Sorry for the rant.

I wouldnt mind haulin rebar everyday.. but guess it would get boring after awhile.. most of ours is all preloaded. Makes it easy. As for cars no idea what they pay my company. I just know we never haul em when the weather is nice. Wait for the hottest days of the year to have to haul that crap... Not to mention it left 5 gallons of oil and various fluid all over my deck afterwards. Sure glad it aint my equipment hauling it
Theyd have to pay me a whole bunch thats for sure

I’ve hauled some rebar back when the plant in Fontana/Etiwanda was in business until the leveled that corner and took several business out and build warehouses, anyways, I used to throw a choker(chain) in the front bundles just in case, then just straps afters, thought it was a piece of cake for a haul.

Oh trust me, that won't stop 'em. Trailer could be on fire and they would still do it!
