How long does it take you guys to secure your load and tarp on top of that? I just saw some videos on Youtube and tarping looks like a time consuming exercise. And some of those guys were moving, IMHO.

Just running a 48' step with just 5 axle setup I would take 30 minutes for something small with 4 ft. tarps to get it nice and perfect. a funky load of lumber or something odd ball would take longer. sometimes to tarp hay I would spend a little more time just so it would billow out so much.[IMG]this load of hay took a little while because the step down had a funky bale on top and the tarp was like a parachute

    59EX Thanks this.

Something like a flat load of steel, square load of lumber etc. can typically be done in under an hour.

A load like this takes a little longer just because of the size, maybe 1 1/2 hours I spent on it.

And then there's crap like these that take 6 - 8 hours or more.

Yes I'm backed up on the ####ing grass and that upsets certain people. They can kiss my grass!!

South Dakota 1.jpg Moved this for one of my customers- old one to the factory & new custom unit back. The new one caught on fire when they were bringing it out to load at the factory, 6 weeks to rebuild it so ended up hauling unicorn farts back. PITA to load- it has more moving parts than a Stripper Barbie & is 8'-5.5" wide (new, not all broken & bent) plus used a whole spill kit trying to contain all the leaks on the trip .
