It should, if the counter weight is still on. When I haul our Komatsu 750 excavator I load it 8" to the drivers side, the swing the boom off the the passenger side to get the height down. It weighs about 125,000 and ride like a dream loaded that way.

Made it to PA,.. at the TA off I80 few miles before 81. Did not want to take this route,.. but permitted for this route. Construction on 80 still blows.
At least didnt have to worry about scale at the 56.

Anyway,.. picked up the Feller Buncher. It did indeed have the implement attached to i. Adds something like 9,000 lbs to the machine. Roughly 78k all together. I'm like sheesh,.. thats as much as my personal truck usually grosses.

    I scaled 140k with it.

Thanks for the tip on chaining the rotater head Carl. I see what you mean now. I chained both sides just to be safe.

It doesnt look as heavy as it is. Guy I loaded with got one similar but the whole machine tilted and angled,.. his was 96k lbs and besides a bit taller,.. dimentionally,.. it wasnt much larger. Said he hauls them all the time. Helped me get the one I had on set up correctly. Bunch of nice guys out there.

Trailer is practically dragging the ground,.. maybe 3 - 4 inches of clearance. But machine is sitting at a nice and safe 13'4.

Getting the hang of this. Mad respect for the heavy haul guys who do this on a regular basis. Trying to make the best of this and its been a learning experience.

Its a bit more work than Step Deck. That part doesnt bother me. Whats killing me is that heavy haul requires so much more time management and planning, once you start your clock,. thats it,. you've gotta get as many miles in while you have the time to make it work,.. then try to find a place to park with room for you. Its not like in my truck where I can satellite view any place and find a hidey hole somewhere. Completely different ball game here. Fueling, showers, sleep, driving, loading/unloading,.. to do it right you really have to be on your "A" game.

My problem is that I cant sleep for more than 4 - 6 hours at a time,.. its not like in my truck where when I get tired,.. I can pull over and take a nap and then continue driving after dark. No,.. I have to suck it up and push forward until my work day is done. Then hope I dont wake in the middle of the night and sit up staring at the stars until morning comes. Its why HOS dont work for someone like me. Unfortunately I have to follow it doing this,.. its the only way this works. Unless someone can school me on how you can catch naps and still get the miles needed.

My saving grace is that I wont deliver this till Friday afternoon,.. to which I doubt they'll be able to book anything and hopefully I can park for the weekend and catch up on some sleep. Else I'm going to be Zombified by Saturday.

You can come back over and hook up to the machine load....it will pay within $10 of actual cost for fuel. Going to my buddy's farm upstate. Then unload and probably load a mini excavator and some other miscellaneous stuff to bring back.

I'm passing up on an $1800 day for this too. Am I a good friend or a schmuck....sometimes I wonder.

I'll say good friend. I was watching a local move yesterday and today. Over here by Newburgh going to Hartford. They just wouldn't budge on the rate. So with the permits and bridge tolls and having to wait for the afternoon crossing. I would have 2 days in it, for a fair day rate. No thanks
