That I honestly dont know. Its dark out now,.. but tomorrow I'll take some better pics of it and maybe you guys can get a better idea. It doesnt look like it adds more than 150lbs, the cylinders are small. Its just 2 small cylinders attached to 2 small hinged arms on top. The flip hinges on top,.. you can see them poking up. They probably restrict the deck more than the cylinders would once folded away.

There is no pump or anything in the back. You have to disconnect the neck and bring it to the back and plug in hydraulic lines and the valve body that operates it is in the neck with the pony motor. That part probably adds 400 - 500lbs by the looks of it. Has 4 good sized cylinders in the neck to raise and lower the deck. I do like that part of it. You can adjust the ride height in the rear,.. there is a valve that controls the aid bags. And then the front depending on where you lock it in. You can get a lot of clearance under it.

The main thing I dont think works right is like other guys have said,.. with the 4th axle on the front,.. there isnt enough neck on the trailer to put any weight on the steers. Soon as I drop the first pusher the weight comes off the steers,.. I havent had to drop the second pusher yet,.. but I'm guessing it might become interesting to steer in tight places.

How do you do that? Take a chain and use the truck to pull on it? Do you air up the suspension first?

The flip on this one has the service air lines like a regular trailer but they dont air up the bags at all. The glad hands have valves on them and I need to turn them on to release the brakes. Then there is a small air line kinda like a compressor line that you plug in and that airs up the bags.

Sorry if all that is redundant,.. this is my first experience with a flip axle.

Yeah,.. exactly that route, except not,.. i84,.. taking 88 to 30 to us 20,.. then routing up to 90 into mass that way. Not very happy about it. I really wanted to run up and catch 90 in Oh and run the NY through way the whole way.

I am not looking forward to the construction that was on that hill as you leave Scranton last time I was through there. Tight enough with a regular load. I'm 11'4 wide with this machine. They had some construction in Oh on 30 that I barely squeezed by with inches to spare on either side.

Company is using Mercury permits,.. not sure who is setting up the route.

That other air line is for the bags, it's tied into the leveling valve. If you unpin the bottom of the fourth axle then unhook that line and deflate the main trailer the third axle will stay inflated.

    Hurst Thanks this.

It's the states mostly. That and the tolls roads will chew you up on costs running the toll roads...
When I come out of there or Davenport, I just run 74 into Indy catch 70 to 71 and work my way up. A little more miles, but it avoids Chicago area and the stop light on 30.
Plenty of stops lights on 20 in Ny..
Your'e gonna have a long day tomorrow...

Yep and drop the bags on the main deck to pitch the flip axle up some. Then take your chains and hook to the flip and your trk. and pull forward and watch for it to start up and over.. Bamm it's on the trl. flipped up

About 2 more weeks. Give or take a few days.

I figure by next week I'll have everything about this truck mastered. Still arguing with the trucks long wheel base and turning radius. I'm used to flipping mine around when I back into a hole to park,.. I keep over shooting and not following the trailer with this one. Makes me feel like a dork because I am really very good at backing under most any condition. Usually I can pull up and back it in in one shot. I havent quite mastered that with this truck yet.
