The other bad news is if you need new permits - the states normally will not modify them and you will have to order and pay for new ones.

Both of the lift axles have pressure control valves and they are both cranked all the way up. I was told to leave them alone.

I'll measure everything in the morning. My carrier knows them,.. but I will do it for my own peace of mind. You guys have me paranoid now. Like I said before,.. I dont know enough about heavy haul. Just enough to get myself into trouble.

They've been running this truck with this set up for over a year now,.. so I would think its legit. But knowing my carrier like I do,.. he likes to push the limits and chalk it up to doing business when the ish hits the fan. I'm not in a financial position to get nailed with any fines. Not the caliber of fines you guys are talking about.

I'm permitted for 12' wide, 14' tall and 155k in weight.
I'm 11'4 wide, 13'4 tall and grossing 140k full of fuel.

You need to split weigh the lift axle and make sure you are not heavy on it. I know about this frat hand, OK split weighed me and I was light on the lift axle and heavy on the 2 drive axles.

Not trying to freak you out but your boss is doing you a huge disservice by sending you out with out the resources to complete the task.

The gig is hard enough - just following the screwed up routes without getting off route - but you need to have the basics under control. Your boss is hanging you ### out.

Yep ,read the fine print on the permits.
The permit being right is on the driver...

Look at all this time I have been wasting easing my way into things and trying to learn the ropes. I guess I could have just ponied up for a big rig and tossed the keys to one of my guys used to pulling a step deck.

    Son Thanks this.

I can get you a deal on a big trailer and you can still go that route

Saw a valley 11 axle with a 1050k at the J in Limon - sure you can bid those - or broker them

It's amazing at what some of these brokers are pawning off loads for, heavy haul ain't half as good this year as it was last year.
