A man's got to eat. There are far too many people in this country relying on handouts. I'm not going to begrudge a man for keeping his head above water.

Hurst has weathered through a storm and is surviving. His fleet went down for a couple months and he had a reserve to get him through that. Now he's had another problem and he is adapting to keep afloat. I admire and respect that.

If your customers all went to a halt for some reason or another, I'm sure you would do the exact same thing as Hurst. Adapt and find a new revenue stream.

I'd much rather share the road with someone like Hurst who is learning and trying to do it right rather than someone who will say wow here is my chance, turn the key and go without asking any questions.

I'm just starting out too, you have to start somewhere.

Maybe so. How does your post help me see how I'm misguided? How does complaining about rates improve rates? I don't see the point of all the whining and complaining and bickering on here. I thought we were all here to try help each other.

Hurst, I'm a little confused on your business relationship with the carrier. In many of your posts you make it sound as if you are a company driver while in this truck.

If that is the case, does your company not have a permit lady who helps out the drivers with these things?

And in keeping with the title of the thread, here is a load on a miniature flatbed.
The kids mostly agreed that this was more fun than using it to haul hay!
