When did you order the permit???
It can take up to 5 business days for super loads. Oh and the police, Well if you get tagged with one they need 24 hour notice to line one up...And they will tell you how fast you are going to go..
Not you telling them how fast we are going to go.....

I despise 68 even with light loads on my step deck. At 150k this truck will get a work out on that route.

I'll probably be going slower down the grades than climbing them. 3.91 gears and 600hp/2050 trq. Pretty stout pulling motor. Has the specs on the passenger side sun visor. My wife found it the other day.

Absolutely,.. always scale these loads. Even if its just for bragging rights. I can say I've done it.

I was being sarcastic about the speed part,.. crossing 68 I doubt there will be much more than scooter speeds.

As for the permit,.. I'm not in O/O status. Just a company driver. I knew about the load Friday afternoon. I had the booking sheet by 3pm. So I assume all of that was taken care of on Friday.

I'm paid the same sitting here or rolling. Flat salary. So if State Police says I have to wait,.. well what else can I do?

Yeah I just read that. Anything over 92k,.. that blows. But pretty sure I can make WVa line before 3:30.

Depends how quick I can get out of the port.

Still in T/A. No permits yet, Dispatch isnt answering their phones. Looks like I may not make state line before 3:30. This is not how I planned to start my day.

Plus starting to drizzle. Really dont want to be loading this in the rain,.. or running 68 with a load like this in the rain. This blows. Wish I could handle the small details so as to not be in a position like this.

If you have the dock receipt I'd go load it, you can always drop your trailer there if need be.

I have dock receipt and customs paperwork. Just got permit 5 seconds ago. They have me routed up 83 into Pa. I guess didnt want to pay State police for all of 68 to Wva line.

No Pa permit yet.. but 99% sure I will be heading up 322. Wish me luck.

    Gonna head to port now.
