I would find a decent place to park the load rent a car and screw off for the weekend. If you park back out of the way it's not real likely that anything will happen to the load. Hell I've parked loads and flew guys home for 6 or 8 days waiting on permits.

Thats exactly what I've been trying to find.

    Thank you very much!!

Normally I would probably rent a car, but its not my truck, expensive machine,.. and earlier today I got popped doing 73 through Houston on 59. I've never had a speeding ticket driving commercially before. There was a slow truck in front of me,.. (Doing the speed limit of course) and got stuck behind him for a few miles before traffic opened up enough to where I could pass. I hammered down and just as I crested the hill,.. there he was. Came after me immediately. I know how to handle it in Fla. Texas is unfamiliar territory. Normally I drive with enough sense that I dont have to worry about it while OTR. Record is clean,.. and like to keep it that way. Need to find the right lawyer who knows the right people to sweep this under the rug. Just a matter of how much.

So with that said,.. I think it would be safer for me to just stay with the machine.

EDIT,.. yes I was empty. I think that would be obvious,.. but it still bugs me when people like to point fingers and make accusations.

    Looking down on Ennis, MT.
UP UP UP at Virginia City, MT (25mph speed limit out of town at the bottom of the grade) & then DOOOOOOWN into Ennis.
If anyone sees my hubcap (guessing somewhere around Lookout) would you grab it?
Coops open for business, even a lone wolf on this stretch Wed.

Mr Hurst, came in a bit late on this thread.
You should rent a car and go to Padre Island until Sunday. Get back to the truck, and you should still have enough time to make the Texas line, then find a motel Sunday night.
They got you for 13 over...I would have to get that reduced. That can come back to haunt you.

    Hurst Thanks this.

I agree. A T800 can be ugly...especially the stripped down versions. But flat top with dual chrome breathers pulling an open trailer says 'this driver is serious.' I like!
