I would say a bungee around a binder handle is fine.
Proper Use of Tiedowns
The new regulations require each tiedown to be attached and secured in a manner that prevents it from becoming loose, unfastening, opening or releasing while the vehicle is in transit.

Well I didn't do the grease to oil conversion myself. Dropped it off n picked it up.
Far as I recall pull hubs, clean out axle (pressure washer) reinstall oil hubs, fill with oil.
Those grease hubs sposed to have a 5 year warranty.Hurst Thanks this. -

Here's what I've been doing with the snap binders. In light of kylefitzys post I'm going to look for a cheaper alternative to these pins.

Why is that? It's what my company provides so it's what I have.

Oh ya I got ya. They do pack a punch. I knew it before I started using them but did need it beat into me a couple times. They also throw a winch bar quite aways too.
tsavory and Dye Guardian Thank this. -
I had a snap binder come undone and hit me on the inside of my elbow while chaining down some scissor lifts one day. It brought me to tears. Also was tightening a chain on a coil and had it just a little too snug and the binder fought back and sent my cheater bar flying through the air lol. Luckily no one was in front of me cause it flew a good 15 ft. And would of knocked the #### out of someone.
Dye Guardian and Chewy352 Thank this. -
I keep a slip knot in one end of the rope I carry. Works pretty good to get more leverage on the snap binders that get over tightened.
