Moved this beauty last week, nice 189mi run that paid great (luckily)- should be a milk run, right? Loaded on the Washington coast with pouring rain & 70+ mph winds. Well, at least I'm going away from the weather to Hood River, Ore. Fought ice & snow on I84 East of Portland. Delivery was in a river valley- that last 180 switchback looked a lot bigger on "satellite view"! Oh yeah, also doesn't show how steep it is! Down hill in the ice & snow at night- flip all the strobes on "COMING THROUGH!!!!!". Unloaded in the dark, got the RGN put back together in 6" snow and went up the road and pulled off for the night, enough of this for one day. Good, it's raining. Woke up in the morning with 1/2" ice on the truck. Waited for a sanding truck to go by and followed his ### to the highway and got the heck out of there!

Good idea waiting for a sand truck to go by. Bad advice in oklahoma though. You'll be waiting all day if you're on a secondary highway.
RGN Thanks this. -

Nice place to pull up for an afternoon sleep. Rest area just off a quiet rural road with hardly any traffic. In a less than a day I'll be battling Melbourne traffic... aargh
