    How do you get the front tires of the backhoe on the top deck?

    How do you have the skidsteer secured?

    @macavoy This trailer has a hydraulic ramp up to the upper deck but with hoes & skips I just use the bucket. Skid has a 3/8 binder on each side & one over the front edge of the bucket that also goes thru the backhoe bucket on the other side. Probably raise the interest of the DOT but inside my comfort zone.

    I use to only use two chains on a skid steer but last month I noticed a 10 500 lb tag on it. I would put one over the front bucket like you and pull it back and one over the top rear of the machine pulling it forward but now I put 2 at the rear.

    I'm guessing he only has a three axle truck, and has to have it back that far to keep his drives legal. Heavy six axle loads are a pain in the ### in that regard.

    That 6R doesn't weigh anything you could back it up against the neck and still scale it on a tandem. I figured there was another reason.
