Wanted to show some pics of the welding done on my trailer. Guy I have does absolutely fantastic work. His welds are better than factory. He does custom work as well. He made all the boxes on my truck from scratch. Freightliner wanted $680 for the battery box cover,.. just the cover. He made mine from scratch for $250.
He also did my generator box and the box for my gas cans all for $500.

Anyway,.. this is before and after pics of my trailer. For those who missed my previous post. I unloaded a small 38k excavator using my ramps. The stands were on soft wet ground and they sunk in the grass. The end result was the rear plates almost ripped the entire rear plate off my trailer. I had been meaning to get the rear plates reinforced, instead I procrastinated until I finally broke something.

Before: And this looks nice compared to how far out the rear plate was with weight on it.

After: $300 final bill. He welded reinforcement corner plates on the inside and underneath in the center to the deck, sorry I cant get a pic under there to show it. But the quality of the welding on top says volumes.

It's finally looking like winter here! Btw, an empty set of trains + super singles + an ice covered parking lot with 6" of snow on top of it is a losing combination...

On anything other then dry ground I see super singles being more of a liability then an asset.
