Yeah it seemed like that to me too! Hahah. That run out to Alberta was nice though, the tarped load out was preloaded and the reload was a simple no tarp load. Coupled with a few days each way makes for a nice break from tarping.

Ya the last couple weeks I think my avg length of hauls been about 500 miles and the majority tarped. I'm ready for my 4 days home next weekend.

I hate this stuff. It's almost impossible to not damage the top sheet, and in the wind, the plastic rips.

And when it comes to tarping, I can't wait for May to finally roll around. More than 60% of the steel we handle will be no tarp again till October/November.

Yeah... I first loaded one of those loads while I was in training and I was tightening it 'over-carefully' asking if it was tight enough. My trainer said "it needs to not fall off the trailer", hahah. I'll never forget that...

Let's face it, tarping sucks. I was ready to set those tarps on fire there a couple weeks ago (lol).

    But I'm not complaining. image.gif

Yep, hahah. Well the snow is all gone here in SW-Ontario at the moment. Though, I woke up to everything covered in ice. Better for it to happen while I'm parked! Roads are all good now and a quick look at the forecast says it should be OK through making this delivery. Then I'll be picking up something heavier to go into Qébec City for Tuesday morning.

The load weighs ~6,000lbs iirc, so practically empty.

LOL, your Michigan trains could pick up more ice/snow on their underside than that.
