Now for something completely different. Not current (2010-11) or really flatbed pics (I'll get to that in a sec), but I thought some might find it interesting.
I worked with another outfit on this project at an apartment complex pulling pole logs- couldn't be damaged so trimmed up & laid them down. He was selling them for $800+ ea to Bell, there was a lot- it took almost a year. Those were good times. No pics of the long loggers out with 100'+ loads, awesome drivers. Setting the rigging & trimming from the basket was 107'. The truck parked next to the crane was a DOT guy that lived there, he used to joke that he could just sit out at the entrance and hassle us- never did, nice guy.
Now the flatbed part- that truck was legal to 52k, but empty it was 48k. What's the point of having a bed on it? The last job I did with it before I sold it we moved (on-site) 700+ 4k/ea concrete retaining wall blocks down a 13% unpaved new road- 8 at a time. 8LL in the L of the L. Sold the truck with less than 100k "easy miles" on the clock to a buyer in Panama.

Headed for New Brunswick to drop the one steel plate sitting at the rear, and Nova Soctia with the rest.
I didn't have an extra 2" strap to throw on at the front of the plate over the tarp to keep a tight corner... We'll see! -
Safe travels. Del in the morning right
Dye Guardian Thanks this. -
Hahah, well they do want me to try to get to NB by tomorrow. I think I have until 11PM, I said probably not because of how late it was when I got loaded but would see what happens.
And I just sat in rush hour for quite some time.
And my wallet was left behind... I was at home base last night. Nice surprise reaching for it a few minutes ago to find an empty space. First time I've done this... Sucks but hey... As long as I don't need to produce my license for any reason.................................................................................. I'll be ok.Zeviander, macavoy, passingthru69 and 2 others Thank this. -
I here you on the forgetting stuff part. I had to buy another cell phone charger last night. Loading corn late at night the phone rings. Things almost dead so I grabbed the charger and sat in the tractor running the auger while charging it. 10 miles after leaving home the thing beeped again. Yup left it in the tractor again. Pretty sure this is number 5.
By fall I should have one in every piece of equipment.
macavoy, skootertrashr6, passingthru69 and 2 others Thank this. -
Is that like when you go to leave the house on a cool morning and realize every jacket you own is in a different piece of equipment?macavoy, lester, johndeere4020 and 1 other person Thank this.

I have only $10 in coins. I have two full coffees I picked up yesterday (old and cold, fine by me) that I'll have to stretch. I have real food for the week already plus a surplus of canned food as well and two cases of water ATM. I'm good. I should be able to afford to do laundry, that's the important part! Lol! At least I didn't forget my other wallet that holds my fuel cards... I'm good.
Doughnuts are no good for you.
passingthru69 Thanks this. -
