Tarp helps some. What you'll want is V boards. 2 strips of 1x4 8'with a couple chunks of 4" strap nailed to both pieces to spread the securement straps force across the tops of all the pails.
Also handy for rolled asphalt roofing standing on pallets. Prolly quite a few other things they can be used for as well. Flip them together n lay on deck for dunnage, across the top of cinder blocks/brick to keep that top layer locked in under the tarp in place of brick cages.

Lol & I thought I was typing fast enough!
Dye Guardian and Chewy352 Thank this. -
Gettin slow in your old age ruthless.

Slower at typing. Older by the minute. O death where art thou, thy sweet embrace I seek.
Tomorrow I'll be leaving the yard by 3. Got to be in harwich mass for first am. Then to pembroke ma. Then to shrewsbury ma. Then to west boylston ma. Then to Londonderry nh. Then to ludlow mass to pickup for Friday morning coming back south. God I hope it's for Friday morning. If it's for tomorrow night I won't be back in bed Til after midnite tomorrow. Least nothing is tarp work. Just muddy ultra tight jobsites. Nothing that can't be handled.
What a life. Anybody know a job I can make $100k or better, sleep late, drink beer, eat red meat and walk around in my skivvies all day? I need a company ride too-bout a chevy LTZ/Denali pickup should do it.
But why do that when I can live this lovely life I lead??

Thought I'd try something new and take a video. I loaded up this Komatsu PC-51 and I noticed the blade was really wode, so I measured it and it was 11' so I txt the boss, I need an annual permit. He calls back and I missed the first part of the convo because my Bluetooth took over and I only heard since you don't want to run it, I'll send someone else, so I respond, I'll run it if you want me to. (No dot on my route).
So I finish chaining it down but it won't lift. So I grab a 544 nearby and decide to use that to help lift the bed.
Safety Warning: do not try this at home, professional operator on a closed course) lol
The video ends abruptly because the boss called and said "unload that machine, I didn't realize that was a 700, I'm suprised your bed picked it up" I replied it didn't I used the loader to pick it up and then proceeded to unload it.
I think I want a GoPro for father's day.Dye Guardian Thanks this. -
Mac, it seems to me that you are overloading that rollback a lot. You need to be very careful with that. Do you not check the weights of the machines before you load it to get an idea if it would put you overweight? To me if the bed will not pick up the load then the truck itself is overloaded.
macavoy Thanks this. -
Highway Sailor, SoDel, Dye Guardian and 2 others Thank this.

The connex on Monday, I definitely was overweight on my rear because they didn't want to have the door facing the road behind me if anything were to fall out. We sold our shop to the police department next door so we are moving that shop to a new one down the road
The local PD doesn't hassle us at all, except there is one dot officer who is really knowledgeable and he will get anyone any chance he gets but they hang out in the same spots and are easy to avoid.
Also when my boss realized it was a bigger machine, he said to unload it and he sent another truck cuz we are not busy. -
