Can you explain what you mean by you are a puller?

Also never hang brackets on your chain holder on your headache rack, they will vibrate loose. Find another spot to keep them.

Or if you do, put a chain at the bottom end so that they don't vibrate loose. There is always a way to do things another way. That's why they recommend looking at other trucks, someone else has figured out shortcuts. Not all are known to everyone.

Also I find chaining way faster than using straps, especially in the rain or snow. Chains you can toss in a bin without cleaning, same thing with binders.

Straps, you have to roll up, that takes more time in the rain / snow. I chain pallets when I can instead of strapping, it's faster.

C'mon MJ, in your heart of hearts: you know slinging chains is at least as tough as putting on socks with a beer belly :0

That's what I'd compare it to anyways lol

On a track machine, I'd be somewhat inclined to agree.

On something with rubber tires, that's already a bit on the bouncy side, that can lead to problems.

....Or at that very least, make a driver very uncomfortable.

I pull their trailers they make 20% off of me. They supply / maintain the trailers and find me work. 15% trailer rental fee 5% broker fee.

I felt uncomfortable hauling a 45 (ish) suicide coil with 10 chains (5/16") and 10 binders.

That's good. You should always be a little uncomfortable hauling loads that can kill you. If you feel you need more securement then use it. I'll never judge someone for using more then needed. Only when they use less.

Are you certain that you are 'a doorswinger trying to survive in a flatbed world'? Just asking because doorslammers normally are involved in threads about defrauding mega carriers on school agreements and how far up do you have to crank up the landing gear. Theyre all about minimum effort ajd youre talking about going above and beyond the regs.

You are going to confuse rookie doorslammers and hungry, malnourished doorslammer children that Sally Struthers cant pretend she cares about.
