You want to tarp 100% of loads?

I'm from Canada and one thing about Guardians constant tarp pics reminds me that I would never flatbed in Canadia

It only hurts less [the more you do it].

Really though yes it has since it has warmed up here.

I had to move my tarps off the top of a load of lumber today (to get them back down to deck level while unloading). I was cursing. #$&@ing tarps. Maybe one day I will not ever need to even touch a tarp, but that day is not today.

Wouldn't you love to be one of those guys who only tarps loads all day every day? That's their job. Sounds like fun right?

Yeah but he goes home every day at 430 to beat his wife and kick the dog, so that evens it out some...

Everybody doesn't have it so good as us, out here working for a living and loving (almost) every minute of it!

Very true. I always said you should enjoy your job/what you do because you spend so much of your life doing it. A lot of people just don't seem to see it that way but rather seem to be in the mind set of "I'm supposed to hate my job" or "I'm not supposed to like work". I don't get it.

Means to an end? Ok but what about the journey? Would the end you're working towards be retiring? Have fun with that...

Exactly, I don't see my job as a chore, I see my job as the 10 hour break from my children where I get to go have fun and play.

But when I am home, I am a slave to my kids. If I am cooking supper, I have the 1 yr old hanging off my leg and if not, I have the 3 year old watching videos on my phone, lying on the kitchen floor just so she can be close to me.

It's a lot more annoying than just coming home and sitting on the recliner asking the wife to get me a beer but I can be proud I spent more quality time with my kids than my dad did with me.

But I enjoy my job thoroughly. Most days I'm driving a truck that I truly wish, I was driving more but I see what everyone else is going through in the trucking world and I know I'm lucky and have it beer than most.

So I'm thankful for the job I have and I'm not worried about how I'm going to buy diesel for the next two weeks until the first check comes in after switching carriers like some of my friends are.

Got some really good news today. My truck is getting an in-frame done. Bad news is, I'll be without her for at least two weeks.

Got put in a newer 379 with a NXS C-15 (455) with an 18. It's got an extended shifter. Makes me feel like a super trucker.

    Cool for you!

What'll you be running in the meantime?
