@DDlighttruck here's my load today. Take a look at the second pic. No matter how tight I get my straps I'll have to stop at least once and adjust. The troughs (big silver pieces) wiggle around until they're tight. There is cardboard between the lids (silver sheets up top). IMG_20160609_060431295_HDR.jpg IMG_20160609_060454370_HDR.jpg

I'm not complaining about the time to stop and redo it. It's annoying to keep one eye on the straps/load in the mirror.

That, and if the chains are loose, that means I've been driving with an insecure load. And yes, I kinda assumed with time I'll get a feel for what will be a PITA load.
    Thanks

Flatbeddin IS fun. Its a challenge nearly every day, and it takes you a lot of places door swingers don't get to go.
    Chicks dig flatbedders, right?

ANY of the loads you usually post look like ones to keep an eye on.

I would say on loads like today, I worry about keeping everything as tight as possible, because of the inner pieces. If it was one big piece of stone or steel, I probably don't worry as much. image.jpg image.jpg

I'm not sure what it is. Thankfully my truck is done and I'm out of this one.

    #### you're light. With my Pete and aluminum pneumatic I go 36800 with a steel trailer I'm over 37k. Nice thing is we get 36k on a tandem and can gross whatever we can axle so I can still get 50k payload just have to pack a bunch on the steer.

2008 389 Pete 70in 600 cummins 18spd 12in blower. I do carry tire chains year round and a full complement of flatbed gear just because I'm too lazy to load if up ever time I need to pull a deck.
