New rotary lifts for the Chrysler dealership in poplar bluff Missouri. The owner himself is unloading me at his private toy wharehouse. It's a painfully slow process but at least he's careful with his forklift. 20160610_112710.jpg

By the way, with a rotary lift that is lifting a county pickup, the Motorolla antennae mounted on the cab will be tall enough to push against the top mounted safety bar of the lift.

And if you are not fast enough, you will see that the antennae will not push against the safety bar hard enough to trigger the safety and stop the lift, but hard enough to bend the antennae.

And when you try to straighten it out, the antennae will break off in your hands.

And trying to get down off the truck, you will drop the antennae between the pickup box mounted toolbox and the back window.

And then you will find out that the antennae is aluminum, so you can't get it out of their with a magnet.

And then you will find out that the keys to the toolbox are with the county, not with the truck so you can't move the toolbox out of the way.

And then you will find out that the that the two wheel drive pickup has skid plates under it, so you can't get to the dropped antennae from underneath.

Then you will find out that trying to get to the antenna with a piece of bent wire will knock it off it's little ledge, and it will fall on top of said skid plates.

Then you will find out that county employees drive across a lot of ditches and the bolts holding the skid plates on are worn down and you can't get a wrench on them.

Ask me how I know this.

Would of enjoyed seeing that. Wouldn't surprise me if he is new to open deck, our company started hiring on bunch of people that have no experience with this stuff and threw then straight to wolves and are wondering why our CSA score plummeted and claims and tickets rose to where they are at now.

After delivering the big beam on Tuesday I spent the rest of the week moving these babies and have 2 more to go next week.

And this is why we can't have headboards on our trailers.

Well because it's been raining for a month straight in Texas and everything is still saturated, so I got sucked in to the soft shoulder. Luckily another driver was delivering nearby and pulled me out.

Unfortunately the fuel tank in the ditch was 3/4 full and the drivers side only had a 1/4 tank but at that angle, I ran out of fuel.

I didn't realize on newer trucks, you don't have to physically bleed the lines anymore, so I waited an hour for no reason only to have someone drain the air out of the fuel filter.

Oh well, was a good learning lesson and I got paid 3 hours overtime. lol I love my company, I get rewarded with more overtime anytime I make a mistake.

It's a company truck, so they are replacing things as they go (that need them). Last I talked to him he was thinking it's going to end up costing around $25,000. They just did a TT C-15 and redid everything, clutch and tranny as well. Cost them $40,000.

They've had nothing but problems with the MX-13's they've been leasing, so I think they are putting more money into the CAT's that still work, to make them last longer. A shame they don't have any 1999 or earlier blocks though.
