Did you bring your rain gear? Sounds like the usual thunder storm this afternoon.
A few weeks back the dairy breakfast was next door to Hungry Hollow. They used the fields for parking. Had shuttles running people back an forth. They caught a good down pour and had a heck of a time pulling everybody out of the field.

I tried to load just that, there were 4 more mats but I couldn't find them after driving all around the new yard. When the boss said he was on his way over, I figured I better get out of the truck and go look behind a building.

Sure enough, I didn't see them because the new truck wash Bay that they are building had a 8" drop off the concrete to asphalt and the covered the gap nicely and hid them well.

Loading them by yourself with a telescopic forklift is cumbersome on a 100 degree Texas afternoon. Get out and secure them with a chain, lift it on the rollback, get out climb on the rollback to undo the chains, climb back down to the forklift and get out and repeat all that 4 times.

But they don't bother me about my time and it gives me a sense of accomplishment that I can do everything on my own without help.

I keep a waterproof jacket in the truck but really it's too warm for the summer.

But we seem to be back to our normal rain season, quick 10 minute shower, then sunny again.

I should really get a new pair of rain slicks but I'm spoiled now and usually just wait it out. One of the perks of being paid hourly!

I did. I'll probably head out if it starts storming and try again tomorrow. Joe is at his dad's and Mollie had to work today so I think we'll come back tomorrow anyway so they can drive in the parade.

  7. Look at some type of softener for the steel being held by strap. Old carpet reminents, straps, mudflaps or fire hose

She got a job Saturday mornings washing dishes at a cafe. She took it under one condition that is she can be off as much as she wants for hunting season.

She's saving up for chest waders and a deer rifle. Not to bad for a 16 year old girl right??

I sweat in arctic blizzards so if I have to work in the rain it doesn't matter. I'd be just as soaked on a dry day.

I do. I had a heat illness (not sure which cause I didn't go to the hospital although I should have) a few years back and now it doesn't take much for me to over heat.

I used to keep my truck running while I'm working in the heat but now I've got a stupid idle timer so I keep the Apu going for the little it does and take lots of water breaks.
