I have heard about the outrigger deal. Next thing will be securing the seat cusion which would make more sense as I have lost a few in my years. But I'm on the downhill slide now & wouldnt mind one more stop by the DOT for some stupid reason just to let him/them know how I feel about the nonsense. In my little 10 mile radius around here, aint likley to happen.

Ca. Will pop you over that also. Plus all out riggers and any hydraulic arm, blade or bucket must be secured.. the reason my buddies were told is in case the hydraulic bleed off they can drop down on move it a outward position

I knew the booms and buckets had to be. I personally never bothered with outriggers though unless I noticed them bleeding off.

That's what they say, I haven't been hassled about it but a couple of other drivers have so its only a matter of time.

Part of it is my luck I think. Guys get away with stuff I wouldn't make it down the driveway with. Several years ago we were bringing 21000 boom from Michigan to southern Indiana, there were 5 trucks all red Peterbilts all pulling red Manac step decks all secured the same way. I was the middle truck, a trooper passed us then slowed down and pulled me over. I asked why me and she said "your just lucky today". Several other times I've been busted out of a group don't know why just lucky I guess.
