I just use my fifth wheel puller.

Haven't had many loads where I've needed something longer. Either I can get on top of it, or there is a ladder.

I've become quite deft with the puller and metal corners.

 

I even carry a folding ladder on the truck but the stick will be more efficient.

This little guy was hoping around the top of the trailer as he backed in next to me in Houston the other day.

 

How much does that weigh?

 

I used to have the same thing. Heaven knows where I put the #### thing.

Looks like CRC foam? Hauled a lot of that ####!

 

This stuff is out of Atlas Roofing in Etobicoke.

 

This what i have done took piece of sheet metal bent in half welded it to paint roller handle works great for placing edge protectors and use other with for placing or pulling straps even works for pulling chain.

 

Good thinking. How much was it?

 

The extendable aluminum stick was about $10 and the roller head about $6 or $7 IIRC.
