Nope, but we did have to decipher the clicking sounds and press a button in a certain order to say what we wanted to say. Usually one guy listened in on every conversation. Oh the secrets that man had.

Truckdad, whenever I see a cabover like this, the memories come flooding back.

Any of you drive a cabover where if you took a left turn to fast, or especially a sweeping left curve, the passenger door would swing open?

And after a while, you learned to spin your wheel back to the right to slam the door shut again?

    Good times.

HA! I have my collection of Overdrive's from the late 60's thru the early 80's and when I get the time I enjoy looking back at the "Truck of the Month" and the "Tractor Disection" articles.

I drove an '80 Freightliner COE down a concrete section of 101 in northern CA and the passenger door window rolled down by itself. Don't know if that speaks about the road or the truck............

I worked at a shop from age 11-18, part time. I don't know how old I was, shop owner bought a truck from a local logger. We were going somewhere after work on a shakedown cruise, me in the passenger seat. First LH turn my door flung open. Man oh man is that a funny feeling. I think I put on my seatbelt and held onto the door after that!

Look at the similarity between these two. The first belonged to the guy I worked for from 68-73. 60 model, 262 cummins with T-590 turbo (water cooled!) 10 speed cable shift roadranger, Page & Page susp. single drive. Very quiet inside as the doghouse was well insulated. The newer pic I took from a book I have, guessing its a model late 80s??? I think someone stole our colors!! Diamond T.jpg IMG_1516.JPG

@Chewy352 should like this one. What a great looking load of hardwood out of Quebec. Some gorgeous black walnut!

That's a beautiful tarp job. To bad the trailers got sissy tandems though.

We have rolltites with tri's. These tandems have a split and they spend a lot of time going south to the US.
