Simplest thing to do is chain the ends where the dunnage is, and just keep an eye on the center dunnage just in case it starts walking. Good call, guys.

Speaking of crap directions mine today told me to turn off the highway follow that road for a ways and turn left in the middle of the herd of cows follow that one to the county blade turn right follow to the rock that looks like a lizard and turn left about 2 miles to location. First off the turn off the highway was two miles farther up the highway then the herd of cows had moved on and the county blade had been moved, the rock did look like a lizard if you turned your head and squinted. Oilfield directions usually suck but these were some of the worst I've ever gotten it's a good thing I learned a long time ago how to read tracks in a dirt road, I've got some hands that never will learn that skill they are just content to follow someone else most of the time.

I like nw oklahoma oilfields cause mostly everything is a square mile grid. Directions are as follows. 2 north, 3 west, 5 north.

Ours aren't laid out like that at all. Our county road system is pretty decent but we have lease roads off of lease roads off of lease roads. Most of the lease roads are just cut with a bland and then built up and gravaled. I swear every blade hand must be a raging alcoholic and they drink heavily inside that machine.

You do know that you're preaching, don't you friend?

Following is the path of least resistance. The problem with being a follower is that sometimes, getting out of a site is just as much of an adventure as getting in. If you are led in, following taillights, you will have to be lead out.

When I was leaving Mepkin Abbey, mom asked me where I was going. I said, "North." 12 noon.

She asked, "How do you know this way is north?"

Hmmm....I'm not lost. I know exactly where I am and which way to go to get to Myrtle Beach. But how do you explain to a nondriver how you know your direction without the sun and road signs?

I shall ponder these things during the low tide.

I laugh when a guy follows me in and I load him first thing before doing all the other #### I went out to do, you ask them ok you remember how to get out of here right? They nod enthusiasticly and then four hours later you meet them going the wrong way so you stop and they very sheepishly ask if they can follow you back out. It seems like nobody can figure out that paying attention to landmarks is extremely important. Sorry if I'm preaching and yes my wife is always amazed that I can always find north no matter where I'm a without the sun or anything.

When you and the wife are in the car, do you back into parking spots, between the lines, perfectly even?

    PeteyFixAll and johndeere4020 Thank this.
