    Ugh...

I understand the "WHY" for that, but my God I hated hauling containers with half of it hanging off the back.

Take the hook off one end of the chain then pull it through. Then either put the hook back on and hoot to truck or just hook the binder from truck to hook less end of the chain.

Then go to the hardware store to replace the cotter pin you just lost.

    .

So happy to have my trailer back.

I dont know how you guys feel about it,.. but when you get used to a trailer,.. you know what it can do. What its limitations are. Then you try something totally different and not sure why I expected to be able to handle it the same as I did with mine. But I was not happy with the limitations of a 48ft double drop step compared to a 53ft regular step. For one,.. the 48 only had 37ft lower deck compared to my 43ft. My deck has a 20" drop from the upper deck with ramp pads to get equipment up on it. The 48 I pulled was specialized for tall short loads. I like to do equipment of all sorts. I am getting back into the swing of things. Money is better,..not getting the rates I want,.. but better than settling when I was pulling the 48.

I know guys will come in and say I was doing it wrong. To that I agree. Just not my thing. I guess I am just less willing to change and adjust for certain things.

Ramp pads at rear of trailer are working great. No flex at all. Cant wait to find a heavy track machine to load up the ramps. See if my upgrades work like they are supposed to.
