You know what's worse than hauling containers? Hauling loose blades

I wasn't paying enough attention to the picture, I was thinking you had hooks that wouldn't fit through the holes.

I wish someone put that on my deck. I had to load. Took me from 10 am till 3 pm. Some of them were on the ground and couldn't get it with the forklift so we had to hand stack them on the forks. Those suckers are heavy.

Luckily at the destination, we have a telescopic forklift, I just pushed them off the side. Nice loud crash.

    DDlighttruck and Lepton1 Thank this.

These are the worst. I've picked up a couple from a blade place near the steel mill, and at least they try to stack them nicely and band them together. Your's are just a bird's nest of awful.

    Lepton1 and MJ1657 Thank this.

Only picture for today. Dropped off the trailer at our customer (their equipment) and was told later that the last four of these deliveries I've made for them up to their store in Dauphin, MB, and I've done a substantially better job than their own drivers.

The company is trying to impress them enough to land a contract to do all their distribution for them. Which could mean regular runs that pay really, really well.

An average day, I make about $200 CAD gross give or take, these runs with a returns reload pay $250 gross for 9-10 hours of work (that's $5 more per hour) and I usually get back in time to get anywhere from 1-3 more hours of work at the end of the day at my hourly rate. I could clear $300+ daily with these on a regular basis.

It's a 5:00 am start, but for that kind of money, I'll do whatever it takes.

Backed into a building last Saturday. The loader said I had to be within 3 inches of the drivers side of the well for him to load me. When he came back I was about 2 inches away and square. I asked him if that was close enough. He said he has guys that back conastogas in there every day that can't get that close. These and the compliment you got really fill a man with pride. Good job driver.

    I like those backing days.

Like that time I pulled up to a brand new place I hadn't been before with a 53' step triaxle, and put it in their door that has about a foot and a half of room on either side, and there isn't enough room to back straight in. Just turned into the setup, and backed right in with little correction.

Haven't had one with B-trains yet though. :(

    Chewy352 Thanks this.
