I did that in the Bay Area for 10 years with a 28' Reliance tub. I was on the heavy side as it was 5/16 with the last 10' at ⅜. #### good rip rap trailer, which we did a lot of. Made #### good money until Reliance convinced super dumps were the way to go. Thanks TD for bringing back the memories.

Similar in the spring. Loading at a lumber yard in 30 degre heat. I hoped out to help the older driver in fron tof me. Crawled up and did all the top stuff. But that was more for me to learn, than to save the older driver. I get where you're coming from Zev, I haven't run into a spot where the oldert driver needed help.

I get out and help so I can learn. I get out and help so I can talk with the old timers. I get out and help so I can learn from them. I will spend an hour letting them tell war stories so I can learn from them. I do whatever I can to learn from them. When they're gone, they're gone.

I'm from Canada and if I told my boss I'm not going to chain up I might be waiting awhile. Lol it's all part of trucking up here.

That driver didn't do his pre trip. our all aluminum trailers, once they get some age on them, have a tendency to crack the frame directly in front of the front spread axle. Seen it many times. It's easy to spot,...if you look.

I've seen a broken trailer like that. First week at this company actually while I was doing orientation, it had apparently just happened and was parked in the yard. No one blamed the driver but I suppose it should have been caught before getting to the point of failure. I think it was a 90k lbs coil on it at the time.

At our new yard, the employee parking is in the far SW corner. All the other trucks park in the NW corner. We had to start parking here so the haul truck drivers made their own lot in the SE corner with their own employee parking next to their trucks so they don't have to walk a quarter mile to their trucks.

If you look in the distance you can see the regular employee parking.

A view of the other trucks in the NW corner.

Well of course. I don't think your boss would appreciate you dropping down to oklahoma to go around the storm. Luckily we have other options down here.

The prick I work for would laugh at me if I looked in the mirror and told him I wasn't chaining up to get into location.
