    Are there container locks on the flatbed? Looks like there is to me so no straps or chains needed.

    On another note...this trailer looks like one of those 53ft California spreads. See how far the axles are to the middle of the load? Biiiiiiig problems with long, heavy loads.

    Far be it from me to say it doesn't exist, but I've never seen a flatbed with container locks on it.

    IMO, it isn't even feasable to try and put container locks on a flatbed because of the arch of the trailer vs the straight bottom of the container.

    I think this is similar to what I saw last year. My brother and I were driving in his pickup truck and passed a flatbed with a 40' container on the deck.

    "Did you see THAT!!??"

    When we first passed the truck it LOOKED like he secured the container with one bungie strap at each corner. WTF???

    We debated calling 911, but decided to slow and let him pass us to get a second look. The bungies were used to keep the locking mechanisms in place, like a pull bar underneath the trailer.
