Got a hot load of steel heading to Saskatoon on Sunday. Tons of loads came in the end of this week and they need us city guys to cover some of them. I'm not going to complain with some extra pay and a "I get paid to take a short trip with my wife before the bad weather kicks in".

Dye Guardian, Lepton1 and 4mer trucker Thank this.

Those are my favorite loads. When I get to take Dad or the kids along.
Makes for a fun trip, plus they get to see exactly what we do out here.

Whew, three day trip. Wife bailed at last minute due to illness but honestly, it was probably a good thing we didn't try squeezing into that sleeper together.

Load headed to Saskatoon, stop in Chamberlain:

Reload coming back from Saskatoon/North Battleford:

And whoever owned that Dodge Power Wagon on the back blew up the transfer case. It's literally in pieces. Everything else besides the air bags are in perfect shape.

The other two have seen better days.

    Dye Guardian Thanks this.

Today's load of foam from KC, KS TO Omaha, NE. This is the first time I've had to stand on top of a high load to unroll the tarps and that foam doesn't feel too sturdy underneath the feet but I managed. I ended up throwing a few more straps across the tarps after going down the road awhile because it was flapping a lil more than I liked.

That's the other reason I always liked straps under tarps. I liked knowing what I was standing on was secured to the trailer.
