Yeah, I've had a few of them come over asking about securement and stuff. That's cool, until you find out it's the trainer asking the questions.

There is defiantly room for improvement.

Nice looking tractor. They sold 45 tractors on that online only auction. All allis chalmers. He even had the very last tractor to roll off the line in Racine.

This is correct. It came out of Menomonie, WI. My boss hauled for Allis Chalmers decades ago when he first started the company. He knew the guy who owned all these. It was a pretty cool place up there. I wish I could've gotten into some of the other buildings to look around at what might be left.

We've since moved on from hauling tractors so this was a rare load for me. Not too often I get to haul drive on stuff anymore. It's only the second load in 3 years working here that I've even had to remove the neck for.

It's not up to me so all I can do is sit back and watch. Or maybe I could just leave to go sling chains and leave the general freight behind........

I say leave a note that says...

Dear loader, please use the 2 inch spools for 2 inch straps. If you cant find them, ask the Forman. He will show you where they are. Thanks, the drivers.

Any luck he will be walked out the door when he asks. :)

    Ruthless and MJ1657 Thank this.

Nothing wrong with hauling freight if you can work for a company that the people give a ####. They do exist. Few and far between but they're out there.

Floating is good fun too but there are many things that can drive a man crazy about it as well. Ever have trailer problems in the cold? I'm sure you have..multiply that by ten when you're pulling a gooseneck lol.

    Dye Guardian Thanks this.
