Yes. There's a few feet gap in the middle on the other side of the pup.

Ok so I may be able to swing getting it fixed tonight. Just no sleep is all.

    Endure.

Why wouldn't that be legal and why won't you hook that way?? I hook that way always because the strap pulls the hook into the tub rail instead of trying to pull off the rail, just the way I look at it and possibly Canada is different.

That is the reason I do it that way too.

I've never pulled a load in my life that scared me. Some I respected more than others. But I am confident with my own skill that I can handle almost anything when approached with the right mindset.

The neck on the trailer was short. It really needed a flip. This put the 5th wheel closer to the front drive axle with 2 more steerable drop axles ahead of the drive axles. I did not want to have to drop the 9th axle. It made for awkward steering. The truck had a 20k steer axle,.. but with all axles on the ground there was never more than 9k on the steers. Really made things interesting on wet roads.

That was my reason for putting as much as I could on the trailer axles and off the truck.
It was not a well thought out set up.

I've just never looked at the rub rail itself as something that's weight rated for tieing down too. Spools and the stake pockets yes. It's just me being picky though. All my straps are d rings for the most part.

Depends on the manufacturer: some rub rails are rated for securement.

I don't do it that way, with the 360 wrap. Personal preference.
I'll put a pic up later if i remember.

I was just being a smart ### about being scared. As stated I understand fully the benefits of moving a load to the rear for weight distribution. You really need to lighten up a little bit.
