There used to be a small trkstp in Cairo on hwy 84 if you need to find a spot. Go to Thomasville as there is a bigger, not the greatest spot there. Used to have a small restaurant inside. Not sure of the showers though. If anything like the restrooms, a garden hose outside would be better

I'm in homerville for the night. Should have at least made it to 75 but 3 hours killed at the shipper then I headed south on 95 and stopped to get fuel and take a 30. Sure enough at the end of my 30 I find out its a blind shipment. Sent the text from the broker to my dispatcher and he says bs. Rate con says nothing about it. But to save any headaches just go through with it. So turned my 30 into a 60 waiting on the broker to send me a new bol. Gotta love that 14 hour clock. I think I lost about an hour drive time today.

It just doesn't make sense why he cared at all. So what if I want to belly. Shoot I still have 4 more straps in my box even with as many as I have on the load. I got lucky with a load shift in this conastoga once before and that was enough for me. And most importantly I don't wanna kill anyone.

You secure it to where you feel safe with it, then add 2 more

Soooo....new employer. Tells me to add more straps than necessary. That way if one is frayed or worn too much I can't get dinged for insecure load.

I'm all for throwing extra. I prefer oversecured. I also prefer throwing junk straps in a dumpster.

So how does it work? Can you get a ticket for improper securement, if the aggregate is still met with good securement?

You can put 100 straps in ten feet but if one is bad you can still be dinged on it.
