Crazy thing is, in my experience, skateboarders can back better than the majority of door slammers. The only ones I see capable of backing straight are old hats with 30+ years experience (and by extension, proper training) and the odd "new Canadian" lucky enough to train under an old hat.

I always send a compliment a driver's way when they succeed on a difficult back. Don't often get a thanks, but skill should be recognized.

I get funny looks when I back in a set of trains in at a truck stop.

I'll take whatever your are hiding under there.

There's a bed and breakfast down in Marion Station I've been to about 6 times now delivering shower doors. After shoehorning the truck through the gate with 2 inches to spare on either side from the mirrors, you have to back down the driveway for about a mile. Fortunately, since it's straight I can go down through there with the pedal to the floor and not have to stop to correct. :D

You'll certainly get thanks if I ever hear that, assuming my CB's getting out that is.

I pulled into a small lot beside a gas station in MI somewhere because I needed to find a fax machine to fax customs paperwork. Well the lot was really small and I ended up being forced to blind side my B-train around the truck that was already parked there. The driver of that truck was in the truck and after I got it done and I walked by his truck he tapped his city horn and gave me a thumbs up. Lol.
