I didn't have my fifth wheel all the way ahead either, I think I could have moved it forward another 6-8 inches.

I'm liking it a lot. Most of the loads need lots of corner protectors and carpet on the straps. Step is so much easier on my knees and ankles for getting up and down.

I wasn't a huge step deck fan until I started pulling this one full time and I love it now.

The outside row of pipe on the bottom bundle shifted down and made the top of the bundle lower on the outside so that whole stack started to lean. It was leaning on the winch side for the belly strap so I'm thinking I had it too tight and it pulled the outside row down like that when things got bumpy.

    Edit:
I had one belly strap over the bottom two, and one belly strap over the three above, all pulling the same direction. then two over the top pulling the other way.
Probably too much pull to one side and maybe too tight also. Ill have to be more careful next time.

Honestly, I don't think there is anything I hate more than little plastic pipe like that.

Its just stupid that all trailers don't have winches on both sides.

I just decided last week I'm ordering winch track for both sides of all my trailers.

    Bigdubber and SHC Thank this.

So If I were ordering a flat, would you recommend getting winches on both sides?
