DD gets out more, it's poor Dye that can't seem to get out of the Detroit metro area

I did make it to Sterling, MI last week but that's not too far either. Anything Michigan feels close.

 

You're not missing much. Going cross border is aggravating. The customs paperwork drives me crazy. I think you said you sat for 3 hours last week? Trying to pay for stuff gets old fast. My debit card works 90% of the time. It doesn't work when I'm short on time. Trying to keep the HOS rules straight. And the left lane exits like in Ohio....those make me mad. Oh, don't go to Jersey. Or Delaware

 

Yeah crossing the border itself isn't worth my time... Best time may have been 30 minutes once, usually 1 hour or more, then other times it can be a lot more...

 

I haven't found a suitable cellular solution either. It's looking like maybe getting a second phone with a US carrier would be the most economical.

 

Can you cross at Port Huron? If you get the choice cross there. Even if you're going to Detroit

 

You can stop at Wal-Mart and get a straight talk phone for as little as $35 a month. It is a prepaid plan, no contract.
