I wasn't sure if I should laugh cry or punch him when I saw it. Pretty typical for my dad, he saw no problem with it.

Forklift driver threw 10 skids on the deck as fast as he could and took off for 20 minutes.
Me- You putting any more on?
    FD- Nope
Me- Why'd you put it all at the back?
FD- It's perfectly centred. The side light is the centre of your trailer. Didn't you know that?

No jack wad I didn't know that. Tell me again how perfectly centred it is.

I honestly thought he was going to put two more up front. It's been a winner of a week. I called this company yesterday to ask why the error scaling. The response was "sometimes depending on how you position the truck depends how much weight registers on the steers, or how much of the truck is on the scale"

I'm sorry, we're specifically split weighing steers, drives and gross but it may not be accurate?

My first load with wheels on the deck. When I arrived three other trucks were in front of me and there was a bit of confusion over which unit numbers went on which truck.

The two hour delay worked to my advantage. Since buying my truck with all securement, tarps, and dunnage I had only been able to get four out of nine chain binders to work. I got busy with a pair of nitrile gloves and a can of WD-40.
By the time it was my turn I had eight working binders. 99% of my loads use only straps, so today was a good day to make sure I could handle a chain load. IMG_20170118_134344672.jpg

Good stuff. Have you thought of trying a better lubricant? I have been using Fluid Film since it was recommended to me on here. Seems to work well.

Yes he did bring home a new hand that wasn't to bad.

So dad went to mid Texas mid summer with a tractor and mower and a crew of guys with weed whackers to mow right of ways along some state hwy(contract job). Apparently it gets hotter than blue blazes in Texas and his crew was really feeling the burn and not getting things done(didn't help they drank themselves stupid everynight) so anyway they see this guy hanging out somewhere and ask him if wants a job, he says heck yeah so they put him to work( probably 50 years old and drank most of his life) they give him a weed whacker and he puts all the young guys to shame.
So fast forward to the day after dad gets back, I go check on the truck and help get things unloaded and see my lovely bumper and there's this guy just hanging around I'd never met before. Ask him who the heck are you, Rockie was all he went by, worked for a few months made a little money and caught a bus back to Texas I guess. Guy had nothing but the clothes on his back.
