Not sure as the front coils had plastic on them. Maybe they split the load up once it got back to deliver. Hard telling. It was to be delivered to a place we haul the aluminum junk bales in a van to get melted down.

Sometimes its procedure to leave them banded and such as coils are a hot mess if the bands break and it unwinds. I use to work in a cast house and had to deal with that all the time.

Might of gone to a place that will salvage the steel. I used to haul end cuts to a place in Milwaukee that would make washers out of them

We do that quite a bit with high quality aluminum and titanium coils. We will pick up around ten pallets of small (3-6" wide) slitted baby coils on skids. Along with those go the edge trimmings and ends of the coils.

I hauled a load of scrap coils once. Went to a place that loads them in containers bound for China. It was a nightmare to tarp. Sharp edges everywhere. Plus I didn't know it was scrap so I probably sent my dispatcher about 20 pictures of all the damage. Needless to say I was pretty annoyed when I got to the consignee and found out it was scrap.

    That place is Wrought Washer.

My dad has worked there for 37 years. I worked there for a year before I started driving.
