I remember when KFC used to be a real treat when I was a kid. It's went downhill big time.

 

The knives are for slitting your wrists when your tarp billows.

 

This is why I don't let people help me tarp. I don't mind help spreading the tarp or padding, but tightening it down I do alone. I can't stand seeing a tarp flapping at all. So annoying to watch it flapping around for 1000 miles.

 

@passingthru69, I do hope you are getting some genuine Thai food. Back away from the American fast food!

If you are near a beach, or renting a hut on the beach, fishermen will come to shore and sell you their catch and cook it for you. About $2-3 per person for an incredible feast.

I had pizza Hut once in Afghanistan on the base. I took one bite and threw it away. I swear they used frickin goat cheese or something.
