What a mess this load is. Well, not so bad but it took a lot of moving around to get the weights right for QC frost laws that are in effect... Loaded that there in Mont-Tremblant, QC going to a place called Menominee, MI. A little bit of a change. Will be about 870 miles for me with it.
It was tarped before rolling. 13' 2" high at the rear.

Getting to stretch your legs a bit is always niceOxbow and Dye Guardian Thank this.

Yeah, I still hate the tarping though. Someday, wrestling tarps will not be a part of my life. Someday. You know, they say sometimes someday never comes. I'd better take action to achieve my goal here...Oxbow, Lepton1 and DDlighttruck Thank this.

I had the impression that you were one of those guys who actually enjoyed the tarping process...Oxbow, Lepton1, Dye Guardian and 1 other person Thank this.

I don't know anyone up your way. Down here there's 2-3 companies that rarely tarp. One of them is mostly Conestogas. Look around for guys in the country that run a lot of farm stuff.Oxbow and Dye Guardian Thank this.

You know, I would love to say I can find joy in it but that would be untruthful. Sometimes it's not so bad, especially when you end up with a real nice looked tarped piece rolling down the road. But, for the most part it is aggravating and painful.passingthru69, Oxbow, Lepton1 and 4 others Thank this.

Started the day with this:
That's part of the main belt stuck in one of the pulleys. Belt tensioner went and started shredding the belt. A great start to the morning (and according to the mechanic, I'm one of the few drivers to actually notice this kind of stuff).
Then I hooked up to the trailer, signal lights weren't working, so it would have been back to the shop, but brakes were frozen. So I spent a good hour pounding away, and had to have someone come over from the shop to break it free (really well-frozen drum needed stronger negotiation). Then the signal lights started working again (loose connection on the line). So finally, I'm off two hours behind schedule.
Picked these up, after about two hours of waiting:
Good load, but way too much climbing for a Friday. And in -16°C (3°F) temps.Razororange, Dye Guardian, Lepton1 and 7 others Thank this.
