All I gotta say bud is if your not happy at a job you should prob start looking for something else. Never know what else you could be doing. I've never been afraid to leave jobs because I wanted something better. This one I have now is the longest I've ever stayed at a company and it's been 2 years. I've had 11 jobs in just over 6 years....Razororange, snowman_w900, Oxbow and 4 others Thank this.

What's it like out west? We have a lot of carriers that want 2-3 years experience for insurance.
And, definitely no offence meant, I think if Dye could make it to 2 years where he is, with a reasonably clean abstract, he could have companies begging to hire him. Add a FAST card and he'll be the one interviewing companies to work for. Not the other way around.
There IS a shortage of GOOD truckers.Razororange, snowman_w900 and Lepton1 Thank this. -
It was the same way. I mean I started at the bottom at some pretty crappy companies hence why I moved on from some of them after only a couple months but once I started to just have a little experience I had no problem getting anything I applied for. I was working in the oil patch driving off-road, hauling cars, tankers, oversize all before I had 2 years.Razororange, snowman_w900, Dye Guardian and 4 others Thank this.

You read all the horror stories on here about drivers not succeeding. MAYBE the DRIVER isn't succeeding because they don't put in the effort to succeed. Seems a lot of the flatbed guys over on this side do ok.
I'd love to work out west for a couple years, and down the coast. Or UP the coast.Razororange, snowman_w900, Dye Guardian and 3 others Thank this. -
