Arrived late afternoon yesterday, unloading this morning...

 

Took this down to SLC yesterday. On Sunday evening it was upside down just east of where I live. The original guy hauling it had a heart attack and wrecked. They said he'll be ok.

 

No damage?

 

The container had a big dent in the top where it landed against something. The guy's 2017 W900 and brand new flatbed on the other hand, total loss. The fire dept. cut the top of the cab/sleeper off to get to him and the whole trailer looks a little twisted.

 

Can't have nothing nice

 

The guy's kids were there getting some of his personal stuff out of what's left of the truck. I got to talk with them for a few minutes and they were upset about the condition of the truck. You could tell they were passionate about it because their dad probably was even more passionate about it. I can't imagine an accountant's kids get upset when his hard drives crashes on his computer...hands on trades like trucking are where it's at.

They only had a compact car so I offered to haul his ladder, securement, tarps and whatever else they wanted to where they live a few hours away. It remains to be seen if they want/need my help or not. They said he'll be out of the hospital today.

Thank you. I thought if it was me I'd want someone to help my kids move all my stuff. Do unto others, right?
