I see you have "Edge" protectors on there with the chains do you do that so you dont mess up the coil or to protect your chains??? Also are they hard or soft protectors?
Also why do they call em suicide coils??? Ive never pulled a flat yet just hopper

They call them suicide because if they break loose they more than likely will roll over the cab of the truck.

I have metal edge protection on each chain to protect the coils. The chain would damage coils with as tight as I have them. You could jump up n down on those chains and they wont move. Theyre called "suicide" cause if they break loose they WILL come through the cab.

They are steel protectdors, made of steel to protect the coil from the chains.
suicide = roll over cab
Shotgun = roll off side of trailer
There's a reason you haul alot of those coils dreamer... -
Shotgun=homicide. I love coils. Except maybe the ones from Logan Aluminum. Two 23000+ pound eye to the sky coils up n over Donners was interesting.
