Every driver should see this video and rewatch it every once in a while.

I don't think I ever posted these. The moral? Practice your backing cause I might be in line behind you.

I was in Wamego last week, first time in a few years. Used to pull the graders into there, wait overnight, then haul them out west in the morning after they finished making them heavier and wider.:biggrin_25525:
I normally dont mess with that smaller stuff, but Ziegler in Altoona was desperate for a 988 bucket, so I took it into them. Made a nice change to pull a 10k lb load instead of the normal 50-80k lb loads I do day to day.
Back on the blades early next month, so the truck will get a break again for a while I guess.

One day Id like to get into the heavy haul stuff, but for at least another year or 2 well stick with the "normal" stuff. Need experience and knowledge before moving onto bigger things.

Yup, right down the street from the J. Note the oil on the pavement when I pull out. 90% was from my truck in the 15 minutes I was sitting there.

I recognized it from the pancake house parking lot across the street when you pulled out.
We used to deliver to a couple of feedyards in garden city & would stop there on the way back through for breakfast, then head down to the washout before heading back to tn.

I like running out there but finding a load back is nearly impossible. At least it was with this last guy. He didn't like looking at load boards because it gave him a headache. Poor him. Ended up owing me 3 weeks pay which it looks like I'd have to sue him in small claims court to get.

I took a 45k single coil to Phoenix Metals in KC, KS and the guy told me, a driver from the country to the south of us showed up with a 50k nugget with 2 chains under the blue Walmart tarp, said he brought it from across town, since then for some reason I get nerved up around someone with one on the deck if I can't see the chains
